I couldn't contain it.

I was tired, I had a full Saturday. I thought about not going to the park. Marcos insisted, so we went to enjoy the [Christmas] tree. I separated from the group to talk to Marcos when I suddenly heard the music and saw the trucks. There were a lot of people, I couldn't see Santa Claus coming down… He went to the opposite side that we were to pay attention to EVERY person who was in the railing. It was 8:08 pm when they arrived.Marquinhos was looking forward to seeing the Old Man, so we stayed firm.

After 1h, Noel came to our side of the railing when I was surprised by how good the old man was ...He's black. He is nice. Attentive and careful. From there I said I would not leave without saying hello. Marcos joined and was anxious. He was getting closer to each person and Marcos counted the minutes for our turn to come.

I heard bad things that I don't want to mention again, that were arousing more emotion in me. I looked at Marcos and I imagined myself at his age seeing that Lord in a hood and red clothes. I tried to control the tears. Half of the group followed the way home, it was late, we were already at 1:30 am in pre when Noel came to us. I couldn't stand it there. He called me and said, “Don't cry, Danny! Give me a big hug! ” I cried more right, man ... It was Santa Claus calling me by name. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I hugged him tight and thanked him for being there. For being him whom my son and I saw. And that it was special and memorable.It was one of my son's friends who said "man, Danny is really emotional!" Because it was so much that I didn't even hear what he said, just the little Mr. calling me.

It was the height of my Christmas so far. And I will never forget.He shows my son and all the black children he was there, that you can occupy the space you want, regardless of your color. You can be Astronaut, Entrepreneur, Multigrade, Doctor, Mis Universo and even Santa Claus.And who has the ignorance to think that this "is wrong" and that "where has Santa Claus seen BLACK !?" Let me warn you ~ don't let the children read this part ~ Santa Claus doesn't exist!
